The UK marine leisure industry was the first sector to engage with MCCIP climate smart working
MCCIP, the British Marine Federation (BMF) and the Environment Agency's "Climate Ready" support service, have worked together to produce the "Climate change and the UK marine leisure industry" Report Card, which was launched on 5th February 2014. Developed as a result of a workshop, this card acts as a step-by-step guide to key climate change impacts and adaptation responses to support single and multi-site operators of boatyards, marinas and support services. You can download the overview presentation from the BMF workshop (ppt, 8KB).
The Report Card includes:
A summary of key climate change impacts of relevance to the UK marine leisure industry;
Information on threats and opportunities for the sector;
Recommendations for collective and individual actions; plus,
A two-page interactive workspace to identify and record your own issues and adaptation responses.
The first Marine Climate Smart Working "Climate change and the UK marine leisure industry" Report Card is available for download as a printable document, interactive PDF, or as an e-publication, in an e-pub or kindle format.
